Have I got chocolate on my face?

I've just covered a chocolate cake in ganache while husband and children go to hunt and gather pizza. I made way slightly too much ganache, and it would be a shame for it to go to waste, right? Good job I'm training for a 10k in June, if I wasn't running on a regular basis I'd weigh a literal tonne!

After finishing my last quilt I decided that I needed a brief trip back to my old love - making bags. My current work bag was looking decidedly tired (grubby). Even my husband had commented.
So I've spent the last two afternoons making this, and I'm quite pleased with it - even if I do say so myself!

I'm definitely ready to get back to quilts now though, and while my daughter and I watched Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix this afternoon I cut out the fabric for this quilt. I'm using white for the solid colour, along with a mixture of prints from Lida Enche's September Light. I adore her fabric - even though it is her first collection, and am eagerly looking forward to the next one later this year. Anyway, pizza has just arrived, so have a happy Easter, everyone!

  1. Well done! That's so impressive - I really like the fabric you have used to line the bag, as well. x

  3. What a pretty bag! I also run, for the sole purpose of being able to eat chocolate with out feeling (too) guilty. Whatever works, right? Good luck on your 10k!
